DCA (dollar-cost averaging) means buying the same dollar amount of a coin at regular intervals instead of trying to time the market. The DCA calculator shows what such buys would be worth today, using real past prices.

- CoinWhat you buy: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB, XRP, Cardano, Dogecoin, Toncoin, Avalanche or Chainlink.
- Amount per buy, $How many dollars each buy spends.
- Buy everyHow often: every week or every month.
- PeriodHow long ago the buying started: 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. The last buy is always today.
- Value todayWhat all the coins bought are worth at today's price. Below it, the profit or loss against the money put in.
- InvestedHow much was spent in total and how many buys that took.
- Coins boughtHow many coins all the buys added up to.
- Average priceThe average price paid per coin across all buys.
- Lump sum on day oneFor comparison: what the coins would be worth now if the same money had been spent once, on the first day. Its return is shown next to it.
How it is calculated
The calculator steps from the start of the period to today (a week is 7 days, a month 30.44 days) and on each date “buys” coins at that day's price.
coins bought = Σ (amount per buy ÷ price on the buy day) invested = number of buys × amount per buy value now = coins bought × today's price return = (value now ÷ invested − 1) × 100% average price = invested ÷ coins bought lump sum = invested ÷ price on day one × today's price
Example from the screenshot: 53 buys of $100, $5,300 invested, 0.069986 BTC collected. At today's price that is $5,465, or +3.1%. Spending all $5,300 on day one would now be worth $4,078 (−23.1%): this year averaging did better.
