1. Disclosure

Before a customer initiates a custody or asset transaction, disclose applicable custody, deposit, withdrawal, network, conversion, spread and third-party fees.

2. Network fees

Network fees may vary and may be estimated. Explain whether the fee is passed through, marked up or included in a quoted amount.

3. No hidden deductions

Do not deduct undisclosed charges from customer assets. Maintain a fee schedule and change-notice process.

4. Failed or delayed transfers

Explain when a transaction may fail, be delayed, require manual review or become unrecoverable. Do not promise recovery.

5. Reconciliation

Maintain transaction records and reconciliations sufficient to explain customer balances and movements.
