Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
This policy explains what COINMAG collects when you use coinmag.org or our newsletter, and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- Account: your display name, email address, a hashed password, and when you accepted these terms.
- Comments: what you post and when, linked to your account.
- Newsletter: your email address, when you subscribed and confirmed, and when we last sent you an issue.
- Technical: your IP address is used briefly in memory to stop spam and count article views fairly; we do not store it in our database.
Cookies and local storage
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores preferences such as light or dark theme, saved stories and which notifications you have read; these stay on your device. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data.
Who processes data for us
Our servers and database are hosted by our infrastructure provider. Newsletter and account emails are delivered by an email delivery provider. Market prices are loaded from CoinGecko without any personal data.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Newsletter data stays until you unsubscribe; we then keep only the fact that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in every email. Write to [email protected].
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell newsletter subscribers about significant changes.
